Inspired by the US hit series GLEE, discover what it is to create a mashup. Learn about the different methods, structures and techniques that go into creating this popular pop form. Apply those methods to pre-existing tunes and eventually, create your own mashup. All worksheets, teaching suggestions and recordings are included in the package. Each package contains activities in performance, musicology, aural and composition. Technology can be used to create these mashups but it is not a necessity. Suitable for Grades 8 – 11.
