This aural program contains three booklets – The Teacher booklet, Student booklet and the Investigating Different Styles booklet. The program was written to assist the students studying Music 1 in the New South Wales Australian Senior Curriculum, however it is useful for all state in Australia and overseas. It is designed in 5 easy parts and basically teaches children how to listen by developing real time listening through the use of a texture diagram, by creating power sentences full of information, by understanding the question and applying the four steps of identification – ID the layers, ID their roles, ID their techniques and ID their relationships. It comes with step by step activities for students that build on each other. It also contains 2 CD’s – one for the teacher booklet and one for the Investigating Different Styles Book. This book contain 23 different musical styles with guide listening tips and individual questions.
