Description
This package investigates the elements of Traditional Irish Music and how they are used in cross over groups The Corrs, Clannad, Riverdance and more. Students learn about modes, ostinati, drones, chordal harmony, and melodic structure. All lesson plans, student worksheets, score and audio recordings are included in the package. This Unit of work is designed using the FORMAT style of teaching – each lesson is designed with an introduction activity, identifying what the students know, what they need to know, practical activity applying the new information and then a wrap up section.
